Gunnamatta Surf Life Saving Club

Formed in 1966 to provide a life saving service at the popular Gunnamatta surf beach, the club has proved it's need by rescuing over 5,000 people to date. The club's focus is on providing experienced patrols to keep people safe when using the often rough and treacherous beach at Gunnamatta.
Our volunteer members train for lifesaving qualifications and are then rostered for beach patrols on Sat, Sun and public holidays from the start of December until the end of Easter each year.
The standard of our patrolling is well regarded with the club having won the annual Life Saving Victoria "Patrol Efficiency Competition" in excess of 15 times in the clubs history.
