Girl Guides

Apr-2024-2

Girl Guides is a brave, safe space for girls and young women to shape their own identities, lives and communities in a wholly supportive environment.

Guides is for girls from 6—17.  When girls join Guides, they become part of a local and global sisterhood of Guides - the largest voluntary movement in the world dedicated to empowering girls and young women.

Through informal learning experiences, girls develop

- their agency and voice

connections and a sense of belonging

- independence and leadership skills

resilience and a strong sense of wellbeing

confidence and courage

knowledge and skillsets for their future

What do you do at Guides?  The Guide program is ’girl-led’ so that girls choose their own path and learn through their own experiences. Fully trained volunteer Guide Leaders support the girls through

· Adventures and educational experiences

· A range of activities that the girls want to try that develop their skills, independence, and leadership.

· Learning through doing:
