Balcombe Estuary Reserves

Nestled amongst the coastal village of Mt Martha lies the Balcombe Estuary Reserves. This 53 hectare reserve is rich in biodiversity and offers the 3.5 kilometres of walking tracks and boardwalk that meander alongside Balcombe Creek, extending from the coast through to the Nepean Highway and on to The Briars.

Main access point: carpark at the end of Mirang Avenue.

Other access points: small carpark off Uralla Road, near the Nepean Highway. Numerous other access points for pedestrians via local streets.

Friends Group: Joining a Friends Group is a great way to be involved in your local community and helps protect biodiversity. Friend's of Balcombe Estuary Reserves Group (BERG) are active in this reserve. The Shire also partners with 50 other friends groups across the Peninsula. Dogs: Dogs are PERMITTED in this reserve and are required to be under the effective control of a chain, cord or leash. For further information on leash-free and dog prohibited areas visit, Leash-free areas.
