Help shape Crib Point Pool’s next chapter
Published on 05 November 2025
Crib Point Pool has been at the heart of the community for 50 years – a place where generations have learned to swim, shared summer afternoons, and created countless memories.
To mark this milestone, we’re giving the space a fresh new look with a vibrant mural across the front and back walls of the building.
We want this mural to reflect the heart of our community. That’s where you come in. What matters most to you? Is it Crib Point’s rich history, the 50-year legacy of the pool, the beauty of our coastline and bushland, or the local spirit that brings everyone together each summer?
We’re inviting locals to select up to three themes that best capture the heart of Crib Point or suggest your own. Your ideas will help guide the brief for artists as they design potential mural concepts.
What happens next
This first stage is all about gathering inspiration. Once the community themes are set, artists will be invited to be part of the project via a Expression of Interest. We’ll then come back to you with a shortlist of mural concepts and ask for your vote on the final design.
This is your chance to help shape a space that's been part of so many summer stories and will be for generations to come.

Quotes attributable to Mayor Councillor Anthony Marsh:
“Celebrating 50 years of Crib Point Pool is a wonderful milestone for the town and the Mornington Peninsula as a whole. It’s fantastic to see locals shaping the next chapter of this much-loved community space and supporting local artists at the same time.”
Quotes attributable to Warringine Councillor Michael Stephens:
“Crib Point Pool has always been more than just a place to swim – it’s where families, friends and neighbours come together every summer. This project is a celebration of that spirit, giving our community a chance to tell its story in colour and creativity.”
