Whittling is a simple, ancient craft that invites focus, patience, and creativity. These 5 hour workshops offer a relaxed and welcoming environment where participants can slow down, work with their hands, and enjoy the tactile pleasure of carving wood.
In this class you will: * Learn the basics of whittling. * Understand wood grain and how to work with it * Experience the tools and practice different cuts. * Practice sharpening our knife * Create one or two small figurines from start to finish, including sanding, oiling, and optional painting.
Throughout this five hour workshop, you’ll experience the joy of transforming raw timber into unique creations. Embrace the meditative and fulfilling experience of carving wood as you bring your imagination to reality. By the end of the class, you can take home your handcrafted wooden pieces that will add a personal touch to your home!
