Rosebud Careers Counselling with Chisholm

Young people on the Mornington Peninsula are getting a fresh boost to kickstart their future, with a brand-new, free Career Counselling Service launching this July at the Tounnin Wominjeka Youth Hub in Rosebud.

This exciting partnership between Chisholm Institute and Mornington Peninsula Shire is all about helping locals aged 15 to 25 figure out their next move — whether that’s landing a job, starting training, or exploring new career ideas.

Running on the first Thursday of every month at 80 Besgrove Street, Rosebud, the service offers relaxed, one-on-one sessions with friendly, qualified career professionals. Appointments are available from 10:00am to 4:00pm, giving young people the chance to get real, practical advice in a supportive space.

Delivered by the Chisholm Skills and Jobs Centre, the service is completely free and designed to meet young people where they’re at. Whether you’ve got a clear plan or no idea where to start, there’s support to help you move forward.

Young people can get help with:

• Exploring career ideas and pathways
• Finding jobs and writing resumes
• Choosing study or training options, including Free TAFE courses
• Learning about apprenticeships and traineeships
• Connecting with local job opportunities
• Building confidence and creating a career plan

The service also links young people to extra support if needed, including financial advice, wellbeing services, and local organisations.

All staff are fully qualified and hold current Police Checks and Working with Children Checks, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
