Having insurance is one thing. Having the right insurance – and enough cover when you need it – is another.
With rising insurance costs and the particular risks of living in the Mornington Peninsula Shire, now is a good time to take a closer look at your home and contents insurance.
Register now for this free, practical and interactive workshop to help you better understand your insurance and whether your cover reflects the risks you face.
You’ll learn how to:
1. identify your individual risks and insurance needs 2. understand what your policy does – and doesn’t – cover 3. work out whether you have enough cover, including the cost of rebuilding 4. know what to do if you’re unsure about your policy 5. understand the basics of making an insurance claim 6. find help if you have a problem or dispute with a claim.
The workshop will be delivered by Financial Counselling Victoria's experienced disaster recovery team, with support from Mornington Peninsula Shire. The workshop will focus particularly on home and contents insurance and risks such as bushfire, storm and flood.
Light refreshments provided.
