How to determine who manages the land you would like to use

• Search for your venue on Bookable. Most Shire managed spaces are available to book here.
• If you can't find your chosen space, choose ‘Other Park, Open Space or Road'
• If your activity is across multiple spaces, choose 'Multi-Spaces & Roads'

• If you are planning to film or photograph on a road, you will need a permit.
  
  • Shire-Managed Roads: Includes most residential roads and requires a Shire Filming/Photography Permit.
  • Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) Roads: Includes most major freeways and arterial roads and requires a DTP filming permit. This includes Mornington Peninsula Freeway, Nepean Highway, Point Nepean Road and Esplanade.

1. Booking: To secure your site(s) for your production book your space through Bookable. Please also book spaces you wish to use as a unit base. Applications must be submitted a minimum of five business days before your scheduled filming or photography dates. If your requirements include a low to medium impact Traffic Management Plan, please allow a minimum of 10 working days for assessment. High-impact plans will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
2. Documentation: Refer to our Filming Permit Document Guide on what documentation is required. Please submit all your documentation through your Bookable portal.
3. Referral: Once you have uploaded all your documentation through your Bookable portal, the event permitting officer will begin an internal referral process. This process is done within Shire only departments.
4. Feedback: If any, feedback will be provided after the documentation has been reviewed by Shire teams. Feedback may include localised advice to consider for your production.
5. Filming permit issued: After the feedback has been provided and considered, the filming permit will be issued. You must adhere to all the terms and conditions outlined in the permit.

All fees are inclusive of GST. Fees are calculated per day and are payable upon booking.

Low Season (1 May - 30 September) $312 per day

High Season (1 October - 30 April) $452 per day
