Council is currently considering a proposal to officially rename the extent of Ashenden Square running from 221 Eastbourne Rd, Rosebud to Ashenden Square as shown in the below map. This extent of the road does not currently have any addresses attached.
A subdivision at the rear of 221 Eastbourne Rd has resulted in three new properties which gain access from the Ashenden Square extent. The properties cannot be addressed to Eastbourne Rd or Ashenden Square therefore this section of the road needs to be renamed for communications, including postal and emergency services purposes as a minimum. The proposed name is:
Goodenia Way - Goodenia is an indigenous ground cover shrub native to the Mornington Peninsula, commonly found in the Rosebud area.
Council invites any interested persons to make comment. You may object to this proposal by providing reasons why the name is not appropriate and/or why it does not meet the requirements of the Naming Rules.
Any comments or objections must be in writing and can be sent to governanceteam@mornpen.vic.gov.au, or by mail to Mornington Peninsula Shire, Private Bag 1000, Rosebud, 3939 and must be received by 14 August 2021, within 30 days of this notice.
