Council is currently considering a proposal to officially name the unnamed roadway running from Capel Avenue to Park Avenue in Capel Sound due to a subdivision at 1635 Point Nepean Road, Capel Sound.
The dwelling at the rear of 1635 Point Nepean Road, Capel Sound, gains access from the unnamed road. The road requires a name for addressing and emergency services purposes as a minimum.
The proposed name is:
Sea Box Lane – Sea Box is is an indigenous shrub native to the Mornington Peninsula, commonly found in the Nepean area.
Council invites any interested persons to make comment. You may object to this proposal by providing reasons why the name is not appropriate and/or why it does not meet the requirements of the Naming Rules.
Any comments or objections must be in writing and can be sent to governanceteam@mornpen.vic.gov.au, or by mail to Mornington Peninsula Shire, Private Bag 1000, Rosebud, 3939 and must be received by 08 August 2024, within 30 days of this notice.
