The secret life of a local nursery
Published on 28 March 2025
What do 100,000 plants, a team of passionate locals, and a nursery nestled in the heart of Mount Martha have in common? They’re all part of the heartwarming story behind The Briars Nursery — and it’s one you’ll want to watch.
A new behind-the-scenes video takes you inside a day in the life of the Nursery team.
From collecting seeds in local reserves to hand-raising plants for the community, this isn’t just gardening — it’s a quiet mission to heal the land, support biodiversity, and bring people closer to nature.
And now, it’s your turn to be part of it.
This April, The Briars is giving away four FREE indigenous plants per household to Mornington Peninsula residents. Grown right here in Mount Martha, these plants are tough, beautiful, and built to thrive in local conditions — just like the community that raised them.
