Rug up and get ready — the Shire has packed these school holidays with epic adventures for kids of all ages!

It's DINO-MITE fun at libraries across the Peninsula, with kids crafting flying dinosaurs, building dioramas, assembling a 3D T-Rex skeleton to take home and constructing motorised LEGO® Dinosaur models at Mornington, Rosebud, Hastings and Somerville.

Creative kids and curious minds are well catered for at our Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery — from the Treasures on the Table drawing workshop to Busy Beads with exhibiting artist Natalia Milosz-Piekarska. A vibrant children's activation space offers hands-on opportunities for exploration and play. Inspired by themes of home and what we hold dear, the space features interactive cubby structures and an ever-growing giant lucky charm necklace adorned with personalised charms designed by our young visitors.

Teens can join a wellbeing session at Mornington Library or play the Adaptation Game at Tounnin Wominjeka Youth Hub to explore how climate change will shape the Peninsula's future.

Breathe in the winter air at The Briars with a visit to the Wildlife Sanctuary and nursery. Join Uncle Josh West, a Traditional Owner of local Bunurong and Palawa land, for a guided cultural bush walk exploring First Nations connections to Country through plant knowledge, bush medicine and land management practices.

With 38 events across the Peninsula, there's no excuse to hibernate this July!
