Our Stories: Unearthed is a one-day event at historic Mount Martha House.

After the success of the 2024 Heritage Event, Mornington Peninsula Shire is excited to once again participate in the 2025 National Trust Victoria Heritage Festival, Unearthed. This year’s event will focus on uncovering lesser-known histories and stories.

The event features an array of engaging activities, including fascinating displays from the Mount Martha House Collection, exhibits by local historical societies, and opportunities to have your treasured objects professionally valued.

Enjoy live music, indulge in traditional Devonshire tea from the ‘Coffee Palace’, or get creative at a decoupage or floristry workshop. Visitors can also experience a selection of films and enjoy plein air painting amidst the scenic surrounds.

This event presents a unique chance to uncover the hidden stories of our past, connect with the Mornington Peninsula’s heritage, and draw inspiration to preserve these stories for future generations.

Part of the Australian Heritage Festival - Australia’s largest annual community-driven heritage festival run in Victoria by the National Trust of Australia (Victoria), the state’s premier heritage advocacy organisation.
