The Shire is delighted to announce the winners of the 2025 Mornington Peninsula Business Excellence Awards following a vibrant celebration that took place this week at The National Golf Club in Cape Schanck. More than 140 local business owners, industry leaders and community supporters came together for an inspiring evening recognising the leadership and talent that forms the backbone of our local economy. The atmosphere was warm, lively and energising, with finalists and attendees celebrating the positive impact local businesses make across the region and in the community. This year, the Business Excellence Awards, part of the Shire’s year-round Business Excellence Program, honours businesses that demonstrate outstanding performance in Customer Experience, Environmental Sustainability and Local Community Connection across various business size groups. Some businesses also received Special Recognition for their efforts in the space of Accessibility & Inclusion.
A special mention goes to 3 businesses that were Highly Commended in this category: Peninsula School of Dance, Slow Down Rose and Sarah’s Domestic Bliss Cleaning.
The Awards can be seen as a powerful tool for growth, as they encourage businesses to reflect deeply on their journey, strengths and opportunities as well as celebrate their teams and share their achievements with the broader community. In doing so, they can receive important recognition for their hard work and build on their brand awareness. The results from the rigorous judging process - led by independent experts from the Small Business Mentoring Service - highlight the high standard of innovation, strategic thinking and community spirit across the Peninsula. Mornington Peninsula Shire congratulates all entrants, finalists and winners for their outstanding contribution to the region. The 2025 Business Excellence Awards are proudly delivered by Mornington Peninsula Shire with the support of Solo Resource Recovery, 3MP, After-Care, Chisholm Institute, Mornington Peninsula Magazine and Peninsula Hot Springs. These awards highlight not only the successes of individual businesses, but the collective strength that defines the Mornington Peninsula. "We are proud to recognise their achievements, which give us real confidence in the growth and direction of our local economy. "Having opened the inaugural Business Excellence Awards as Mayor in 2022, it was a privilege to once again welcome our business community to this year’s celebration.”
