Help us improve parking in Hastings
Published on 12 May 2026
We’re inviting the community to share feedback on recent parking changes in the Hastings commercial centre.
In late 2025, updated signage and parking restrictions were introduced across the precinct, including changes to time limits on High Street and surrounding streets, along with improved wayfinding to make it easier to navigate the area.
Now that the changes have been in place for some time, we’re seeking community input to understand how well they are working in practice.
Community members are encouraged to complete a short survey with feedback to help us determine whether the current arrangements should be retained, modified or removed.
Acting Mayor Paul Pingiaro said the consultation is an important step in ensuring the precinct meets the needs of the community.
“We’ve made changes based on earlier feedback, and now we’re checking back in with our community to see how those changes are working day to day.”
Warringine Ward Councillor Michael Stephens said we want to make sure parking in Hastings supports local businesses, residents, workers and visitors, and the best way to do that is by listening directly to the people who use it.
“This is a chance for the community to tell us what’s working, what’s not, and what could be improved.”
How to provide your thoughts:
Community consultation is currently open and closes 8 June 2026.
