There’s a buzz in Dromana – and it’s not just from the sidelines. A brand-new, competition-standard netball court has just landed at Dromana Recreation Reserve, and the timing couldn’t be better!

For years, senior netballers from the Dromana Football Netball Club had to play across the road at Marna Reserve – but not anymore. Now, footy and netball teams will play side by side and can cheer each other on.

As for the junior teams? They’re in on the action too, training at both the new court and the courts at Marna Reserve, which were upgraded back in 2021.

But the courts aren’t all that’s been upgraded. Marna Reserve Pavilion has also received a $740k revamp, complete with new accessible ramps and decking, accessible toilets, and extra storage to keep things running smoothly on game day.

The new court and updated pavilion will play a key role in increasing social participation, supporting local sporting groups, and providing a welcoming space for people of all ages and abilities.

With three competition-ready courts and fresh new facilities, Dromana’s netballers are geared up and ready to take on the competition. Let’s go, Tigers!

Watch the video below to meet some of the team and see the new courts in action.
