Flinders has officially been named a finalist in the 2025 Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards, proudly representing the Mornington Peninsula in the Tiny Town category. It is the only town from the Peninsula to make the shortlist this year and is up against a strong field of coastal and inland competitors from across Victoria. Finalists were selected by a panel of industry experts based on written submissions, videos and itineraries that showcase the town’s visitor appeal. The Flinders submission focused on the town’s natural beauty, strong sense of community, local businesses and the diverse visitor experiences available year round. The awards coordinated by the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC), recognise towns that offer outstanding visitor experiences and demonstrate a strong commitment to tourism. Public voting plays a major role in determining the winners, so yes, your vote actually matters! Voting closes at 5pm on Friday, 27 June.
