The Mornington Peninsula Shire invites community members to provide feedback on its key draft strategic plans.

These plans—Council Plan, Public Health and Wellbeing Plan, Asset Plan and Financial Plan—set the direction for Council’s priorities and decision-making over the coming years. Together, they reflect the shared aspirations captured in our Community Vision.

Like all Victorian councils, we’re balancing rising costs, ageing infrastructure, and increasing responsibilities from other levels of government. At the same time, we know many in our community are feeling the impact of cost-of-living pressures. That’s why we’re focused on delivering the services that matter most while remaining financially sustainable. These plans were developed with these challenges in mind and a clear focus on achieving tangible outcomes for our community.

The Council Plan and Public Health and Wellbeing Plan are open for feedback from 21 May to 2 July 2025, with public exhibition of the Financial Plan and Asset Plan to follow at a later date. Feedback received during public exhibition will help finalise the plans before they are adopted by Council before 31 October 2025.

Quotes attributable to Mayor Councillor Anthony Marsh:

“We’ve heard from thousands of community members to help shape these plans. Now we’re inviting everyone to take one more look and make sure we’re heading in the right direction."
