The Eramosa Road East, Somerville – Rehabilitation and Safety Upgrade project involves improvements between Lower Somerville Road and Western Port Highway in Somerville. This initiative is funded under the Roads to Recovery (R2R) 2024–2029 program.
Key deliverables include road pavement upgrades, drainage upgrades, installation of road safety barriers at high-risk areas, and audio-tactile linemarking.
The project is now finalising the Detailed Design stage, with a tender for works to be released in the coming weeks. The tender is expected to be released in March, with an evaluation period to then follow. This will aim to then have a successful contractor engaged by mid-2026, with the works to then be completed by the end of 2026.

The design review for the project has now been completed. As part of this process, minor design amendments were identified and have since been finalised following further detailed review, including the completion of a Road Safety Audit.
With the detailed design now complete, tender documentation is currently being prepared. This will enable the tender for construction works to be advertised in early 2026.
