H5N1 avian influenza (bird flu) has been detected in Victoria. If you see sick or dead birds on the Peninsula, avoid contact and record what you see. Report it online or via the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888.

September is Biodiversity Month

We’re celebrating Biodiversity Month this September with free opportunities to connect with nature, learn about local biodiversity and contribute to citizen science.

The community are invited to take part in the BioBlitz and a series of guided bushland walks, encouraging people of all ages to spend time outdoors, explore local natural areas and discover the plants, animals and fungi that call the Peninsula home.
