Somerville Tyabb and District Heritage Society Inc

Somerville, Tyabb and District Heritage Society are a group of volunteers dedicated to preserving heritage items of the area. The society was formed in 1996 and has around 60 members. The basis of our collection is from local historian Mrs Leila Shaw and is known as the Leila Shaw Collection, along with other locally collected memorabilia. Mrs Leila Shaw has also written two books about the area - She's Apples and The Way We Were.
Our present home is a room in the Somerville Mechanics Institute where we meet once a month and have working bees every week. (See Membership and What's On ? ) We are currently endeavouring to catalogue our collection.
