ResetLife is a non-residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation program. We have a youth version for people 25 and under operating from Windana, 31 Playne Street, Frankston. We utilise the evidence-based treatment called Matrix Integrated Treatment Model. We also have another youth version running in Moorabbin and an adult version for people 18 and above in Cranbourne.
There is no waitlist. We will undertake alcohol and drug assessments, create a treatment plan, make detox referrals and support clients into the ResetLife program. Individual counselling is provided throughout the program. The program includes group work three times a week, the groups include Early Recovery Skills, Relapse Prevention, Education, Support Person Groups, Social Support and Continuing Care. Groups are facilitated by both a clinician and a lived experience worker who has graduated the program.
The groups include understanding of triggers, urges, self-management strategies and emotional regulations. We have two sets of groups; 12pm and 4pm, which allows clients who are free during the day to attend 12pm, or clients who are at school/work to attend the 4pm group. Groups run for approximately 2 hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The program includes support for support people. There is a weekly group providing education and support from a family therapist. There are also optional joint sessions with the client and their supports. The program runs for 16 weeks plus an optional 36 weeks of continuing care.
