Capel Sound Foreshore

The Capel Sound Foreshore Reserve is located along a stretch of the Port Phillip coastline from Chinamans Creek, Capel Sound to Shirlow Avenue, Rye. We aim to encourage participation in a range of outdoor activities by improving important environmental assets such as the scarce Banksia Woodland, as well as looking after the campgrounds, bay trail and boat ramp alike.
Capel Sound Foreshore Reserves is Crown Land, managed by a Committee appointed by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP). Camping available Sept 1st - May 31st (closed June, July, August) . Facilities include camp kitchen, dump point, boat ramp, picnic and BBQ facilities and disabled access to beach, toilet and shower. Bookings for camping are essential (book online via our website).
