Become an energy hero

Are you passionate about helping householders reduce their energy bills or want to learn more about energy?

We are offering you the opportunity to become an Energy Hero. You will receive training to provide free impartial energy advice to residents and empower them to improve the sustainability of their home.

Once trained, ‘Energy Heroes’ will be matched with residents seeking advice on improving household energy efficiency, reducing energy bills and improving comfort and safety in the home. 

  • Volunteers will be trained by an accredited Home Energy Assessor (Danielle King from Green Moves)
  • Training will take 8 hours over three sessions (two in person and one online) over several weeks in April.
  • The training will cover energy efficiency, electrification, thermal shell, government rebates, solar and batteries.
  • Following the free training, each person will be expected to provide impartial energy advice to at least three other people in the community.

We are now seeking volunteers for the second round of training.
