How to Book Your Perfect Wedding Spot
- Explore Locations – Browse our beautiful park, beach, and foreshore venues via our simple booking platform, Bookable.
- Check Availability – Use the online calendar to choose your preferred date. If it’s unavailable, you’ll see a message right away.
- Submit Your Booking – Once you submit your booking, a Permitting Officer will review it and contact you with the next steps.
- Pay and Receive Your Wedding Permit –Once approved and payment is complete, you’ll receive your official permit for use at your chosen location, date, and time. The permit is valid for up to three hours.

How much does a wedding permit cost?
- Low Season (May–September): $304 per day
- High Season (October–April): $435 per day
How far in advance should I apply?
We recommend applying at least 4 weeks before your ceremony. Booking early secures your preferred date and location.
Can I bring decorations or music?
Yes! Portable music, decorations, a signing table, and up to 20 chairs are welcome.
Note: Confetti and marquees are not allowed, and umbrellas must be weighted (no pegs) to protect local flora.
What if it rains?
Unfortunately, we can't offer refunds for weather. Consider booking a council hall as a wet-weather backup.
Can I book a reception space too?
Shire Wedding Permits cover outdoor spaces for up to 3 hours only.
