Somers Pedestrian & Traffic Study

Somers Pedestrian & Traffic Study was initially compiled in 2018 and adopted by Council on 26 March 2019. The study recommended several projects including:

  • the installation of a zebra crossing and raised platform on Camp Hill Road (Traffic & Transport are applying for Council funding to deliver this project in 2025/2026)
  • delivery of 1.5m, exposed aggregate footpath on the side of South Beach Road
  • delivery of 1.5m, exposed aggregate footpath on the side of Tasman Road
  • delivery of 1.5m, exposed aggregate footpath on the side of Parklands Avenue
  • delivery of 1.5m, exposed aggregate footpath on the western side of Lord Somers Road to connect the eastern side of the town.
