The Mornington Activity Centre Structure plan provides a policy framework that guides land use, development, transport and public and private investment in the centre up to 2030. It outlines a shared vision with supporting objectives and strategies for achieving the vision. Identifying five distinct precincts, the Structure Plan addresses the following ten key elements:
The plan includes an implementation framework outlining stakeholder leadership and responsibilities, projects and planning actions responding to each of the above themes. A structure plan determines what is working well in an area and how this can be enhanced, as well as how the area can grow and change in the future.
