We're inviting the community to have their say on a new Protocol for Briefings and Workshops.

The protocol outlines how and when Council briefings or workshops will be made publicly available online, supporting transparency and good governance.

Why is this important?

It ensures the community can access information about decisions affecting them.

It protects sensitive matters that need to be discussed in confidence.

What’s in the Protocol?

The protocol provides clear rules on when information is public or confidential for:

  • Briefings: Public online access to discussions on issues of significant interest.
  • Workshops: Internal forums for preliminary discussions and confidential matters.

We encourage you to review the draft protocol and provide your feedback. Your thoughts will help refine and finalise the process for how and when information is shared.

How to provide your thoughts

Community consultation is currently open and closes 3 March 2025.
