Somerville Recreation Reserve has received some much-needed TLC by the Shire with the resurfacing of its three netball courts. The courts are well-used and loved by the local community, and home to Somerville Netball Club and Somerville Football Netball Club. With the resurfaced courts in mint condition, these clubs will be more prepared than ever to take on the opposition and bring home some big wins! This work was carried out over a three-month period and fully funded by the Shire, $132,000. Next up for the Somerville sporting community are upgrades to the cricket nets during off-season. Works are already underway, and the nets will be spick and span ready for the 24-25 cricket season.
