H5N1 avian influenza (bird flu) has been detected in Victoria. If you see sick or dead birds on the Peninsula, avoid contact and record what you see. Report it online or via the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888.

Citizen of the year is a prestigious award and is a great way to acknowledge the difference a person makes to their community.
The award winner will be formally recognised at a ceremony on 26 January. In addition to this prestigious honour, the winner will receive a professionally filmed video by the Shire highlighting their cause and achievements.
Any Mornington Peninsula resident 25 and over who are making a positive impact in the community. They could be part of a community group or organisation, sports club, volunteer or anything in between.
