Visiting the Shelter
Customers can make an appointment when arranging the release of an impounded animal. As there is a certain amount of documentation to complete this can shorten the time required.
If you contact the Community Animal Shelter one of the friendly staff will gladly discuss any of the animals that you are interested in adopting.
The Shire encourages people who are thinking about adopting a pet to also approach reputable Rescues Groups.
Animal Adoption
Pets available for adoption are listed on the Pets for Adoption page and also the Pet Rescue website.
To ensure all of our pets go to the right fit homes please go to our Pets for Adoption page to complete an online application. If you're unable to complete an online application please call our friendly staff on 5950 1838.
As all of our pets have different needs and requirements from their new family, all applications will be reviewed and suitable applicants will be invited into the Shelter for a meet and greet.
All of our pets will stay with us for as long as it takes to find their forever home.
Code of Practice
