Adopt A Pet

The Shire is developing a new Domestic Animal Management Plan. This is a document all Victorian Councils must produce every four years. The Plan will outline the Shire’s approach to our animal management (dogs and cats) for the next four years.
Find out more and share your ideas.

Choosing a new pet for your family is an exciting time and by choosing the adoption option you are giving a new home to an animal in need. The dogs and cats listed on our Pets for Adoption page are currently looking for their new forever homes and would love to have you visit.

 All our pets are:

  • Temperament tested
  • Healthy
  • Vet Checked
  • De-sexed
  • Vaccinated
  • Wormed
  • Microchipped
  • Registered

Anyone is welcome to visit and adopt a pet but please note that if you live outside of the Mornington Peninsula Shire you will need to check with your Local Council as to what their requirements are for transfer of Animal Registration and the amount of pets permitted on your property.

Pets available for adoption can be viewed on our Pets for Adoption or on the Pet Rescue website.
