Making a Complaint
An individual may lodge a complaint with the Shire’s Privacy Officer regarding the handling of personal and health information by Mornington Peninsula Shire.
While you may lodge your complaint over the phone, it is preferable that your complaint is submitted in writing.
Written complaints can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed to the Privacy Officer, Mornington Peninsula Shire, Private Bag 1000 ROSEBUD VIC 3939.
Alternatively, the Privacy Officer can be contacted by telephone on 5950 1225 for assistance with lodging a complaint.
The complaint should include:
- how you believe your privacy has been breached;
- a brief explanation of the effect the breach has had;
- what you would like the Shire to do in response to your complaint.
The Privacy Officer will investigate the complaint and provide a written response within 20 working days.
