Cr Lisa Dixon

Councillor Lisa Dixon was elected to the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council in 2020 and represents the Cerberus Ward. Cr Dixon was elected as Deputy Mayor in 2021. She is an appointed representative on the Mornington Peninsula Cemetery Trust, the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council Tourism Advisory Forum, Communities That Care (CTC),  (this group has been dissolved) the Peninsula Advisory Committee for Elders (PACE) and the Inter Council Aboriginal Consultative Committee. She is an alternate representative on the Arts and Culture Advisory Panel and the Disability Advisory Committee.

Her career background spans 35 years across the Corporate Retail sector, merchandising, customer service management, wholesale and owner operator of a small business in Hastings for over a decade. Holds a Cert 1V in Celebrancy. She is now a full-time independent councillor.

Cr Dixon’s community role included volunteering with Western Port Tourism, where she and like-minded people were instrumental in establishing the Old Fish Shed at Hastings pier as a Visitor Information Centre for the region.

She is passionate about achieving better outcomes for Western Port, with a particular focus on the areas of tourism, infrastructure, public transport, telecommunications, affordable housing, protecting the environment and more employment opportunities for local young people.
