Greg Mallyon 'Journey to the Wimmera' Exhibition

We are proud to present acclaimed artist Greg Mallyon in his solo exhibition 'Journey to the Wimmera'

Using traditional printmaking techniques combined with contemporary digital imaging, Greg sets out to create his topographical landscapes depicting the Wimmera region. Inspiration comes from his own travel photographs, sketches, satellite imagery and maps.

"The Wimmera is a series of works inspired by my visits (by land and air) to the vast plains and dramatic mountains of the region. An integral aspect of the Australian landscape is the endless cycle of destruction and renewal caused by flood, fire, and drought. I have researched past floods of the Wimmera river, the blackened land after fire and the parched yellow color of prolonged drought."
-Greg Mallyon

Greg holds a Master of Fine Art from the UNSW and held over 40 solo exhibitions in his career.
