Cogs of nature

Dragonfly.jpeg

Our natural world is made up of both living and non-living things.

It is crucial to acknowledge the role of the non- living within our environments, and how living and non- living things coexist in a cyclical nature.

Students will observe elements of an environment, including fallen leaves, sticks, rocks, soil, and reflect on non- living things within the ecosystem cycle. An emphasis on ‘everything in its place’ helps students understand what happens when something is removed from its environment and can no longer contribute to the cycle.
