The Shire’s Personal Support Service provides young people aged 10-25 living within the Shire with an opportunity to have a chat with a qualified youth worker regarding any issue of concern to them.
In addition to the one-on-one support, our youth workers can also provide advocacy and referral as appropriate in relation to specific services such as counseling, drug and alcohol support, housing, employment or mental health services. All personal support is provided in a manner that respects the confidentiality of those involved.
There are a range of options available in order to access the personal support service, including centre-based drop-in, home visits, school, workplace or local café visits.
General Youth Support Services are available Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5:00pm. Others times are available by appointment.
To access any of the above support services contact us on 5950 1666 or visit our Youth Services website (see link below) for more information.
A comprehensive resource for all young people. The resource contains information on housing and support services for young people including: accommodation, mental health support, legal advice and more.
