Peninsula DriveSafe

Peninsula DriveSafe is the Mornington Peninsula Shire road safety strategy that was adopted in 2008 and runs through until 2018 it seeks to implement the Safe System Approach to all aspects of road safety risk management. Peninsula DriveSafe will use its extensive networks and partnerships to implement the actions and programs that will be proposed in the annual action plans and program calenders.

Peninsula RideSafe

RideSafe has provided a timely and strategically important review of the Shire's existing bicycle infrastructure, bicycle crashes and 'gaps' in the bicycle network. It has also identified future demands, considered community needs and developed action programs to achieve increased use of bicycle as a means of transport on the Mornington Peninsula.

The Shire has constructed nearly 80 kilometres of Shared Trails (cyclists, pedestrians and horse riders). You can download maps of these trails from our section Cycling, Walking & Horse Riding
