The return to Stage 3 Stay at Home restrictions for some Victorian postcodes mean residents within these hot zones will have to cancel travel bookings to regional Victoria during the period, placing additional strain on accommodation providers.

Accommodation providers in regional Victoria and the Mornington Peninsula impacted by these cancellations will be able to apply for direct financial support of up to $225 per booking per night through the new Tourism Accommodation Support Program. The support will apply to eligible bookings that were received from “hot zone” postcodes 3038, 3064, 3047, 3060, 3012, 3032, 3055, 3042, 3021, 3046 by 3pm on 30 June for the period 1 July to 29 July.
