Assessment

Applications must align to the Council and Wellbeing Plan Theme 3 and achieve one or more of the priorities below. 

Access and Inclusion Support Grants Program Priorities

Criteria

Activities or services that

  • foster social inclusion and connections
  • improve health and wellbeing
  • participation in civic activities
  • participation in sport and recreation
  • participation in education/training
  • National or international representation of the Mornington Peninsula

 

Council and Wellbeing Plan
Proposed project demonstrates alignment to the Council and Wellbeing Plan Theme 3.

Access and Inclusion Support Grants Program Priorities

Proposed project will contribute to one or more Access and Inclusion Support Grants Program priorities listed in this table in the left column.

Community Partnerships

Proposed project shows community engagement and collaboration with other community partners.

Budget

Applicant budget for delivery of the project is realistic and shows volunteer in-kind contribution as well as co-contribution.

Eligibility

  1. Individuals, a community service organisation, school welfare support, healthcare professional or approved equivalent is eligible to apply for a grant on behalf of individuals experiencing financial hardship.
  2. All applications will be assessed on an individual basis and will be determined in accordance with the assessment criteria
  3. Beneficiaries (individual applicants or parent/carer) must hold, and show evidence, of at least one of the following:
  • Health Care Card
  • Pension Concession Card
  • Support letter which demonstrates the need for financial assistance, from:
  • Family Support Service
  • Government agency
  • School 

4. Grant funds will only be paid direct to a Community Service Organisation, Agency or other approved organisation

 

Acquittal

  • Successfully funded projects/programs will receive a Funding Agreement.   All activities must be completed by the end of the financial year in which they received the funding or in accordance with the Funding Agreement. 
  • Extension for delays need to be approved by the Program Manager for the Grant Program.
  • The Funding Agreement will reference an Acquittal, which must be completed in full by the due date.
