Climate Action Grants up to $10,000 are available for community projects that help reach the targets outlined in the Shire’s Climate Emergency Plan.

Financial co-contributions are viewed favourably in assessment of applications but are not mandatory.
All projects and acquittal reports must be completed within 12 months of receipt of funding. Large grant applications are required to submit milestone reporting within 6 months after funding.

The Shire's Climate Emergency Plan provides a 10-year map of climate action.
The Climate Emergency Plan communicates messages of hope for our future and provides clear priorities for how we will support and work with our community.
It guides the Peninsula towards zero carbon emissions by 2040, through actions described in seven summits and 21 action steps. This can only be achieved by the community and the Shire working together.
