School Holiday Programs
Updated: 2 February 2018
Mornington Peninsula Shire is pleased to announce Team Holiday will deliver school holiday programs as it transitions from direct provision.
Following an Expression of Interest process Mornington Peninsula Shire intends to transfer its licences with the Department of Education and Training to Team Holiday who will deliver services under the licence starting from the Easter school holidays (3 April to Friday 13 April 2018).
Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor Councillor Bryan Payne said Team Holiday is an established and experienced service provider, with popular family programs already running across the Mornington Peninsula.
“The move will ensure families are provided with a school holiday program service more aligned with their needs.
“Team Holiday is owned, run and delivered by teachers, and they are holiday program specialists with excellent industry standards. Team holiday will bring a focus on fun as well as safety and service excellence for all families.
“The selection of Team Holiday supports our commitment to ensure the continuation of appropriate school holiday programs that remain accessible and affordable for our local families,” he said.
Team Holiday is working to provide programs at Bentons Square in Mornington and Hastings Community Hub following the Shire’s transition from direct provision. The service previously offered at Peninsula Community Theatre will not be ongoing; this venue was a temporary solution while we transitioned to more fit-for-purpose locations now offered by Team Holiday through their current programs at Toorak College Mt Eliza, Mt Eliza North Primary School and Mt Martha Osborne Primary school.
Cr Payne said the Shire is committed to working closely with families who have used the Shire’s service to ensure a continuation of service with places at Team Holiday.
