Home Maintenance and Modifications

The Home Maintenance and Modifications service provides a range of practical help with property maintenance to help residents to increase or maintain independence, safety, accessibility and well-being in their home.

The Home Maintenance service helps to maintain safety, accessibility and health and well-being within the home environment by minimizing environmental health and safety hazards.

The Home Modifications service works with qualified Occupational Therapists (OT) to determine individual need for modifications in the home, such as installation of grab rails and ramps.

For residents aged 65 and over, or 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents, the Commonwealth Government has appointed mecwacare as the approved provider for Home Maintenance and Modifications services.
