Planning Advertising

Pre- application Planning Service

The Pre-Application Planning Advice service will be carried out by telephone or Skype until further notice.

Please indicate in your booking which method you prefer. E.g. 'Telephone' or 'Skype' in the ‘Description of Proposal’ field of the form along with the proposal description. 

If Skype is the preferred method, once you have booked a meeting the pre-application planner will send through a meeting invite via email with a Skype link that will facilitate the meeting.

Planning Services Committee

The Planning Services Committee consists of all Councillors and operates under an Instrument of Delegation, to determine all planning matters in accordance with the Council Plan and the Planning and Environment Act 1987

In Response to the current restrictions under COVID-19, Planning Services Committee meetings will be held online, and will be available for livestreaming only for members of the public and permit applicant.  A recording and minutes will also available afterwards on the Council’s website following the meeting. 

Submitter's are unable to speak however Councillors will have access to all submissions received to date on this matter, and a summary of concerns raised will be read out at the meeting.

Viewing planning documentation during Shire Office closures

The COVID-19 Omnibus (Emergency Measures) Bill 2020 is legislation covering a range of temporary measures to support the State's response to COVID-19 and enable the delivery of essential public services to the best extent during this time.

The Omnibus Bill involves key changes to the Planning and Environment Act 1987, which will allow the planning process in Victoria to continue, including:

  • Planning documentation previously required to be physically available to view at state or local government offices are now only required to be available for online inspection. This includes copies of planning scheme amendments and submissions, and planning permit applications and objections.

Requests to view planning application documentation including application information and objections can be submitted using the following form. Requests using this form can only be made for planning applications where a decision has not yet been made by Council.

If a decision has been made, you will either need to apply for a copy of planning permit information here or make a request to Council under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act).
