What is a Local Connection Point?

Your Local Connection Points are part of a 12-month trial to expand face-to-face customer service in some of our smaller townships. This initiative is being implemented to better serve the community and assess our effectiveness in meeting their needs. This effort will help us allocate resources according to customer preferences, making engaging with us easier, and offering localised services for those who cannot visit our main offices. Statutory Planning at Sorrento Local Connection Point

Planners are available one Friday a month at Your Local Connection Point at the Sorrento Community Centre during the trial period. You can now book face-to-face meeting with our Mornington Peninsula Shire Planning team to discuss general planning information and enquiries.

Planning will be at the Your Local Connection Point at Sorrento on the following dates:

  • Friday 6 December 2024
  • Friday 17 January 2025
  • Friday 14 February 2025  (12noon - 4pm)
  • Friday 14 March 2025  (12noon - 4pm)

Please note that while this service is free of charge, more complex enquiries may be better suited to our "Pre-Application Service", which attracts a fee and includes written planning advice.
