What can I learn at the Eco Living Display Centre?
Living green doesn’t mean doing without or spending lots of money. At the Eco Living Display Centre you can learn about a range of easy lifestyle changes you can make as well as modifications to improve the comfort of your home. See a variety of insulation types, double glazing, external shading, internal draught proofing, energy saving lights as well as sustainable flooring and bench-tops, a water efficient toilet, taps and shower, solar power, solar hot water and much more! In the garden you can learn a range of ways to create beautiful garden for dry conditions from planting indigenous plants to creating wicking beds and no-dig gardens.
How do I make my home more sustainable and comfortable without spending a fortune? Where do I start to make the greatest impact on my family’s comfort and the environment? A visit to the Eco Living Display Centre, located at The Briars, can set you on the right track! See first-hand how you can reduce your water, energy and waste to decrease your bills, make your home more comfortable and save the environment.

The Eco Living Display Centre is also available for group tours outside normal visiting times. Call 1300 850 600 or 5950 1000 to arrange a tour.
Sustainability workshops are regularly held at the Centre between September and May, usually on the first Saturday of the month. These workshops cover a range of topics including seed saving, fruit bottling, gardening with indigenous plants and creating wicking beds, rainwater gardens and no-dig gardens. Creating Energy Efficient Homes
Book a free one-on-one consultation at the Eco Living Display Centre and discover how to save energy and money by making your home more energy efficient. If you have house or renovation plans or even a rough sketch bring these along to discuss.
We offer a range of environmental education excursions to school students from Grade 1 to Year 8 covering the areas of water, waste and energy. See the Eco Living Display Centre Schools Program page for all the details.
Hire the Centre
The Centre is available for hire for a small fee. There is a meeting room downstairs that can fit up to 30 people, a data projector and a kitchen upstairs. A disabled toilet is located downstairs.

The Briars is in Mount Martha on the Nepean Highway between Mornington and the Moorooduc Freeway. It is approximately 10 minutes from Mornington Main Street and 15 minutes from Rosebud.
Please note: the lift at the Eco Living Display Centre is currently out of action, and as such the site is un-accessible for those who are not able to use the stairs.
