Foyer Exhibition Space Terms and Conditions

In applying to participate in the Community Exhibition Spaces program, applicants agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

 A. All reasonable care will be taken, however Mornington Peninsula Shire will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to artworks. Artists are encouraged to arrange their own exhibition insurance

B. Exhibiting artists must deliver and collect their artworks at the scheduled times

C. All works must be complete and ready to be hung with ‘D’ rings. Hanging hardware will be provided

D. Individual artworks cannot exceed 10kg

E. Artworks must be two-dimensional in form

F. Exhibiting artists must provide a list of works to be displayed, including; titles, media, dimensions and a brief artist’s statement and image for reproduction, no less than four (4) weeks prior to the exhibition

G. Exhibitors should assist Arts and Culture staff to hang their artworks

H. The Shire may take photographs of the exhibition. These may appear in Shire promotions and publications. The artist will be attributed appropriately

I. Artists are to be responsible for managing sales of their works. Artists are to provide a flyer with contact details for interested buyers

J. Artworks purchased remain on display for the duration of the scheduled exhibition

K. When producing promotional material for advertising in publications; final artwork and text must be forwarded to the Arts and Cultural Development Team for formal approval prior to going to print. Materials must acknowledge Mornington Peninsula Shire support

L. Artworks that are deemed to be in conflict with the values of Mornington Peninsula Shire will not be displayed
