Let’s continue the joys of this warmer weather! Next month, we’re continuing to celebrate diversity, inclusivity and connection.

This February, there are LGBTIQA+ events you can join as a community member and ally, to celebrate our diverse, inclusive and connected community. To help you, we’ve compiled them below.

This has been organised alongside Frankston City Council and the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula LGBTIQA+ Collaborative.

If your organisation is hosting an LGBTIQA+ event on the Peninsula, we encourage you to share this as a What’s On listing via our website: mornpen.vic.gov.au/whats-on

Midsumma Pride March

Are you heading down to St Kilda on Sunday 2 February, for the 2025 Midsumma Pride March?

In collaboration with Frankston City Council and the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula LGBTIQA+ Collaborative, we invite you to join us at the march! There is a free shuttle bus available for you and your friends, leaving from Rosebud, Mornington and Frankston.

Don’t delay though! Seats on our bus are limited. Register to march and secure your spot on the bus before it's too late: mornpen.vic.gov.au/midsumma-25-transport

For all attendees 17 years and under, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This is our third year attending alongside Frankston City Council and the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula LGBTIQA+ Collaborative! We can’t wait to see you all there!

Our commitment to the LGBTIQA+ community

We all belong. Mornington Peninsula Shire is committed to ensuring everyone in our community is safe and feels valued, including our LGBTIQA+ community. We stand in solidarity, striving for a kinder, more inclusive society. To understand our efforts toward respect, safety, inclusivity and connection, we encourage exploring our We All Belong Strategy 2024-2029

Quotes attributable to Mayor Councillor Anthony Marsh:

"The Mornington Peninsula is proud of its diversity. Our new We All Belong Strategy highlights that the Mornington Peninsula is where people of all ages, abilities, cultures, genders, and sexualities are welcomed, celebrated, and provided opportunities to thrive and reach their full potential. I hope our LGBTIQA+ community and allies enjoy the festivities in February.”
