Tee off for charity!

Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor Councillor Bryan Payne invites the community to a charity Golf Day at St Andrews Golf Course on Friday 27 April 2018.
The event aims to raise much-needed funds for Peninsula Home Hospice which each year provides free of charge, in-home care to more than 800 peninsula-based patients who are faced with a life-threatening illness, as well as providing support to their families.
Councillor Payne said the service provides “quality of life and honours the hope for comfort, choice, dignity and peace.
“This is a vital service offered all over the peninsula”.
At $150 per person, the charity golf day offers a fantastic opportunity to play an Ambrose golf tournament at St Andrews Beach Golf Course located in ‘The Cups’ region and ranked number five in Australia’s Top 100 Public Golf Courses for 2017.
The day will start at 7am with a breakfast roll and coffee ensuring players are ready for a shotgun start at 8am. Following the day’s golf, participants will head over to the newly opened St Andrews Beach Brewery for a grazing style lunch, recognition of sponsors and presentations along with a silent auction.
If golf isn’t your thing, but you’d like to get involved, come along for lunch and what is sure to be a great day out at the brewery which was once the home of one of Australia’s premier horse training facilities.
“I encourage our community to assist by participating any way you can, join us for a round of golf, come along to lunch, sponsor, or donate.
“I look forward to welcoming you as we come together for this most worthy cause,” Councillor Payne concluded.
Entries close Friday 20 April, so don’t miss the opportunity to be involved in what will be a great day out for all.
