Heritage Overlay Planning Scheme Amendment submissions closing

Published on 13 June 2018

The public exhibition period for Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Planning Scheme Amendment C214 is coming to an end.

The Amendment follows from the adopted Mornington Peninsula Heritage Review, Stage 2 (The Review) which looked at existing places within the Heritage Overlay and places of potential heritage significance on the peninsula.

The Review identified places in Arthurs Seat, Capel Sound, Dromana, Fingal, Main Ridge, McCrae, Red Hill, Rosebud and Rye as places of potential heritage significance. The Amendment proposes to include these places in the Heritage Overlay of the Mornington Peninsula Planning Scheme.

These places were recommended by heritage experts under the supervision of Shire staff.

The Amendment is open for exhibition and public submissions until Friday 29 June 2018.

Submissions received and which cannot be resolved, will be considered by an independent panel appointed by the Minister for Planning.
